Air Force Aid Society
Since its inception in 1942, the Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) has been committed to helping Air Force members and their families realize their academic goals. The centerpiece of the Society's education initiatives is the General Henry H. Arnold Education Grant Program which provides $2000 grants to sons, daughters, and spouses of Air Force members.
Army Emergency Relief
The Army Emergency Relief offers scholarships to students who are dependents and spouses of Army soldiers.
Fisher House Foundation
The Fisher House Foundation has scholarship programs for military children and spouses.
Lucile Parrish Ward Veterans Award
The Lucile Parrish Ward Veterans Award is available to any veteran of the Armed forces of the United States whose service in the military caused a delay in the pursuit of a music career. The amount of the award is $2,250. Entrants must have outstanding musical talent, excellent background, and the highest recommendations.
Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation provides scholarships for the children of those who have served in the Marine Corps.
Military Officers Association of America
The Military Officers Association of America provides scholarships, grants and interest free loans for applicants under 24 years old with a parent who has served or is on active duty.
Military Order of the Purple Heart
The Purple Heart Scholarship Program is a competitive scholarship program that awards scholarships to Purple Heart recipients and their spouses, children, and grandchildren each year.
National Military Family Association
The National Military Family Association supports educational expenses for military spouses. Scholarship funds on average are $1,000 and can be used towards degrees, certifications, licensure, clinical supervision for mental health licensure, CEUs, business expenses and more. Any spouse with a valid military ID is eligible.
Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society
The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society’s Education Assistance Program offers interest-free loans and grants for undergraduate/post-secondary education at an accredited 2- or 4-year education, technical or vocational institution in the United States. This financial assistance is available for children of active duty, retired or deceased Sailors and Marines; and for spouses of active duty and retired Sailors and Marines.
Troops to Teachers
The Troops to Teachers program established in 2017 helps current and former members of the Armed Forces transition into second careers as K-12 teachers upon separation from military service. The Virginia Troops to Teachers program, administered by William & Mary, is open to students at any Virginia college.
Veterans United Foundation Scholarship
The Veterans United Foundation Scholarship provides support for family members of service members and Veterans. The scholarship program, launched in 2012, is funded by contributions from Veterans United Home Loans and its employees. The Veterans United Foundation Scholarship will be awarding up to 10 one-time scholarships for up to $50,000.
