Call for Scores
The 2003 Southeastern Composers League Forum
will be held March 6-8 at the University of Georgia.
(And also March 5 if necessary.)

Deadline for submissions is 30 September, 2002.

Performance Resources:

Large performance organizations include: orchestra, band, and chorus.
Chamber ensembles and soloists of all types are available.
Works incorporating electronics and computer resources are also possible.

Composers are encouraged to provide their own performers.

Submission Instructions:

For flexibility of scheduling, composers should submit up to three works. In order to ensure a place on the program, composers submitting a work for a large performance organization should also submit one or two chamber works as well. Entries should be accompanied by the form enclosed in Music Now and also found at the SCL website at:

Please include program notes and short biographical information in hard copy as well as on floppy disk.
Indicate any special requirements.

Composers wishing their materials to be returned be mail should include a SASE. The materials may also be retrieved at the conference. Membership in SCL is required for all composers whose works are accepted for performance, and composers whose works have been scheduled are expected to attend the forum . In addition to music submissions, papers and presentations are welcome. Please send a detailed abstract or proposal. All topics dealing with composition, technology, pedagogy, theory, cultural and gender studies, or aesthetics are welcome. Deadline for submission of abstracts or proposals is 30 September 2002.
