| Thank you for showing an interest in one of the most beneficial organizations at Radford University. The Society for the Advancement of Management (S.A.M), is the world's oldest professional management society. Its origins date from 1910 by Frederick W. Taylor, the "Father of Scientific Management." S.A.M. is a professional organization with 160 chapters nation-wide. By coming to one of our general meetings, you will have the opportunity to meet with the executive officers and learn about the benefits that S.A.M. can provide to you. You will also have the opportunity to join at least one of several committees, so that you can assume a leadership role and take on some of the responsibilities that will enhance your appreciation of current management practices. S.A.M strives to be a leading edge management organization for facilitating learning, personal and professional development, and establishing networks necessary to compete in today's global business environment. It has continued to be a leader in the development of management as a profession. If you are interested in becoming a member of this organization, please contact VP of Membership, Allen Dickens, President, Halley White or Advisor, Dr. "Fess" Green.
