TRIP
SCHEDULE
RU Outdoors offers hiking,
backpacking, rock climbing, caving, canoeing, kayaking,
whitewater rafting, and mountain biking trips, as well as educational
seminars to the Radford University community. If you’ve never tried one of
these activities, that is okay! Our trips are geared toward the beginner. For a
low fee we provide instruction, technical equipment, camping gear and
transportation to the activity site. To give you an idea of what you can
expect on the different trips, feel free to click on each trip name to view
pictures if they are available.

How to Sign Up for a Program
Come to the Campus Recreation
Office in The Bonnie Hulbert Center 10am-5pm, Monday through Friday to pay for the trip. RU
Outdoors accepts checks or cash. All trips have a sign up deadline and a
mandatory pre-trip meeting. These meetings are arranged by the trip leaders and
are typically scheduled a few days before the activity. Refunds are
available for cancellations if 5 days notice is provided to the Campus
Recreation or RU Outdoors Office or for cancellations due to inclement weather
or poor attendance. Trip fees may also be transferred if 24 hours notice
is given by the participant to the Office of Campus Recreation.
