Under Construction!!  More to come soon!!

Radford University students have many opportunities and are encouraged to get involved with on-campus and professional organizations.  There are three student chapters/clubs for the students to participate in on-campus and a number of off- campus groups.  The on-campus organizations include RUGS, the Radford Chapter of AEG, and SGE (the student honors fraternity for earth science majors).

Students are also encouraged to be a part of different professional organizations and attend professional meetings.  Many of the geology majors are members of GSA (the Geological Society of America), AEG (the Association of Engineering Geologist), SAGA (Southern Appalachian Geological Association), and VAS (the Virginia Academy of Science).  A number of students are not only members of these organizations, but they also present papers or posters at the regional or national meetings.  RU Geology wants students to be active in these organizations and establish a relationship with professionals in the field.  Presenting at these meetings will help students make contacts and show potential employers how RU students communicate.
