Kiwanis Administration participated in 18 inter-club visits to other Kiwanis clubs with 117 members traveling 1320 miles one way. Visited by 6 Kiwanis clubs with 39 members traveling 42 miles one way. Social events: Anniversary dinner Square dance, Father and Daughter day, beach party, family night, Father and Son day, ladies day, and Christmas party. 7 new members were inducted with a 9% increase and held 90 committee meetings.
Boys and Girls work equipped and sponsored a 100 lb. football team. Sent 300 picture books to the children’s hospital, and had a representative at each monthly meeting of the Juvenile Court meeting. Presented a scholarship to Montgomery junior college for a deserving girl.
Underprivileged Child provided funds for the operation oil the eye of a Chinese boy, delivered clothing to needy families, paid 2 weeks housing for a family found living in a car, sent infant clothing to 6 babies, and provided a boy with defective eye sight the proper treatment.
Public and Business Affairs participated in the blood donor campaign, helped organize a community camera club and participated in clothing for Korea drive.
