Meet Monday 7:00 PM Providence Hospital

(From E-Builder, Nov 2004) On October 18, 2004 the Kiwanis Club of Northeast Washington celebrated the completion of our first Jobs Partnership program, in which we assisted the Third Community Development Corporation in their job training of unemployed residents of the Shaw neighborhood. The three week job training program helped students to polish their skills in interviews, computers, attitude, and self presentation. The program has contact with many local employers and usually succeeds in finding sustaining jobs for 90% of its graduates. Our new Division One LG, Ken Tracy, attended the closing program.
