IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE 2024-2025 FAFSA:
UPDATE: April 16, 2024
- FAFSA files are being loaded into our system and processing will begin on Wednesday, April 17th.
- Students and contributors can now make corrections to their FAFSA. Access your form at studentaid.gov to make any needed updates!
- Aid offers will be sent to students admitted for fall 2024 the week of April 22.
UPDATE: April 4, 2024
We are excited to report that our testing for 2024-2025 is in process and we are now finalizing our timeline to communicate with students and distribute aid offers.
Week of April 15th - Financial aid team members will be connecting with students and families who have FAFSA issues that need to be corrected.
Week of April 22nd - End of week - Begin distribution of financial aid offers to students who are admitted for Fall 2024.
We will be hosting a series of financial aid virtual sessions to answer questions about aid offers. Prospective students and families can register online!
UPDATE: March 1, 2024
The financial aid office will begin testing work for 2024-2025 FAFSA data on March 28th due to a critical software update required by our student information system partner. Additional timeline updates for distributing aid offers will be provided once test work begins.
UPDATE: February 1, 2024
All higher education insitutions were notified on Tuesday, January 30th that the Department of Education would not start to send FAFSA data to institutions until mid-March 2024. This announcement will delay all financial aid processing for the 2024-2025 academic year. We will continue to post updates to our page as we learn more.
We do encourage families to continue to file the 2024-2025 FAFSA as soon as possible so that it will be in the queue to be sent to Radford when data is available.
UPDATE: January 22, 2024
Radford University was notified on Friday, January 19th that software required to process 2024-2025 FAFSA data has been delayed and we will receive these critical updates approximately February 15, 2024. At this time, we anticipate that we will begin receiving and processing 2024-2025 FAFSA data no earlier than March 1, 2024. We will begin communicating with students and families via email, once we receive and begin to process all submitted FAFSA information.
The 2024-2025 FAFSA opened with a soft launch on December 30, 2023. Some students are experiencing issues submitting the FAFSA. If you experience a challenge with completing your FAFSA, please submit a ticket to Federal Student Aid (FSA).

Aid Offer Notification Information
Once your FAFSA processing has been completed and your financial aid offer has been finalized, you will receive an aid offer notification via email. Learn more about the aid offer notification process for students..

RETURNING STUDENT AID OFFERS
Aid offers are distributed to returning students after spring grades are posted and satisfactory acdemic progress standards are reviewed. We anticipate that returning students will be notified about aid offers the week of May 22, 2024.

March 1, 2024 - 2024-2025 FAFSA Priority submission deadline.
Current Students
February 5, 2024 - Foundation scholarship priority application deadline.
March 1, 2024 - 2024-2025 FAFSA priority submission deadline.
March 1, 2024 - Final deadline to submit progress appeal for spring 2024.
March 8, 2024 - Final deadline to submit FAFSA for aid consideration for fall 2023 and spring 2024.
March 10, 2024 – Final deadline to complete check in for Spring 2024.
March 22, 2024 – Final deadline to submit verification documents for aid consideration for fall 2023 and spring 2024.
March 31, 2024 - Priority registration deadline for students seeking summer financial aid. Learn more about summer financial aid.
April 1, 2024 - Final deadline to complete direct loan entrance counseling or master promissory notes for fall 2023 and spring 2024 direct loans.
April 19, 2024 - Priority application deadline for Parent PLUS, Graduate PLUS, and Private Education loans to be processed and reflected on bills for summer 2024 enrollment.
