The Commission for the Future of Radford University, created and chaired by President Penelope W. Kyle, will help chart the future course of the institution. The Commission and its task forces, made up of Board of Visitors members, faculty, alumni, students, staff, and community and business leaders, are studying RU’s mission and researching the state of higher education nationwide to determine how Radford University can best serve its future students and the Commonwealth of Virginia. The final result will be a university strategic plan. Through this website you can explore research documents used by the Commission and review task force findings. The latest Commission news is also available and updated regularly.
The Commission for the Future of Radford University's "Days of Visioning" was a great success. Many faculty, staff, students and community members made their voices heard through the forums conducted by the Commission's task force members. The open forums enabled participants to speak about their vision for RU's future. Information gathered will be used to help task force members create strategic directions to present to the Commission in May.
