Angela Arnold, Administrative Assistant to the Associate Vice President
Angela has been in an Administrative Assistant position at Radford University since October, 2012. She has been a part of Student Activities since January, 2014. Originally from Blacksburg, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise from Virginia Tech. She currently lives in Radford and loves being a part of the Radford University community.
James Boone, Equipment Technician
James has lived in Roanoke most of his life, has been a Navy-Marine corps medic, C.N.A., O. R. tech, audio video technician for 20+ years and, before his current position, a cook at Austin Grill. He is now married to the coolest woman that teaches history at Radford University.
Alice Coughlin, Interim Associate Vice President for Student Life
Alice had been employed by Radford University since 1987 when she returned to her alma mater from the Charlottesville and Richmond, Virginia areas; after working outside the realm of higher education. She is proud to be a 2 time alumni of RU; and has appreciated the many opportunities that she has been afforded during her tenure with the university.

Sally Cox, Information and Event Planning Manager
Sally has worked in the department of student activities since March 1985.
Ryan Gross, Assistant Manager of Production Services
Ryan has worked with Student Activities since March of 2015. He has been a musician since the age of 10. Prior to joining Radford University, he played in multiple bands in the Roanoke and New River Valleys gaining experience with live sound for those bands. He studied at Virginia Tech and has a diverse background including Sound Tech for Corporate Research Center after hours events, customer service and financial institutions. He is also a father and husband which he says is his greatest experience of his life. Enjoys hobbies of being an active musician, building custom drums and repairing drums.
John Leonard, Assistant Director for Student Involvement
John began working with the department of student activities in 1999. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at the College of William and Mary and his Master of Science degree in Counseling and Human Development at Radford University.
Ben Litvak, Coordinator of Student Organizations
Ben joined Radford University and the Department of Student Activities in the fall of 2011. He switched roles in the spring of 2014 from the Program Coordinator of Operations, Training, and Education to his current position. Ben received his Bachelor of Art in Criminology and Investigative Sciences from West Virginia University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Corporate and Professional Communication at Radford University.
Douglas Mead, Theater Production Manager/Technical Director for Bondurant Auditorium
Douglas has worked in the department of student activities since October 1994. Prior to his work in Student Activities he was the a/v manager of a conference center in central Virginia during his late teens and very early 20’s. He holds a bachelor's degree in history from Radford University. He is a third generation RU graduate, his mother and grandmother both having obtained education degrees from the university. In addition to his employment with the university, Doug has done freelance work in lighting, sound, and other aspects of technical production. He was the lighting designer for three multi-media collaborations between the Department of Dance and Appalachian Studies, all of which were performed at other venues as far away as New Jersey. Hobbies include an avid interest in ancient European and Near-Eastern history, film, reading, using perfectly good basses and guitars to make hideous noises, hiking and writing.
Peggy Perdue, Accounts Manager and Office Manager
Peggy started working at Radford University in 1988. She worked two years with the finance and budget office, nine years in accounts payable, and has been with the department of student activities since 1999.
Jessica Twiest, Assistant Director for Programming and Leadership
Jessica received her bachelor's degree in sociology from Winona State University and her master's degree in higher education administration from St. Cloud State University. Prior to Radford, she worked four years as the student resource coordinator at Century College and three years as the assistant director of student involvement and leadership at Palm Beach Atlantic University. She is an alumna of Tri Sigma, Zeta Eta chapter.
Kim Twiest, Game Room Manager
Kim began working with the Department of Student Activities in August 2015. She received her bachelor's degree in Exercise Sport and Health Education from Radford University in 2010 and will be completing her second bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy in 2016. When not at work, Kim enjoys reading and custom woodworking.
Geoff White, Assistant Director for Student Media
Geoff earned his bachelor of arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from Washington and Lee University. He came to Radford University in 2007 after working five years as the production director and operations manager for a radio station in Massachusetts. He also taught at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting and did freelance writing for the Providence Journal and the Sports Journal.
