Graduating Students
Congratulations #RadGrads! As you count down the days to commencement, please take a few moments to make sure that you have reviewed all the details so you can relax and enjoy your commencement day.
Lineup
Graduate lineup begins at 9 a.m. in the area between Walker and Madison Halls and will extend toward Muse Hall. Graduates will line up by departments within each college.
Parking
- Graduate Hooding Ceremony - Parking is available in Lot Z. There will be parking staff and University Police officers stationed to help direct to the nearest parking area.

Regalia, Tassels, Cords and Stoles
Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! Graduating students are required to have formal academic regalia consisting of gowns, caps or tams, and hoods as appropriate. Graduates should purchase regalia as soon as possible in person from the bookstore at Radford University main campus, or online at our graduation website. If ordering online, please allow 4 weeks for delivery. The deadline to purchase regalia online is April 7, 2024. After this date graduation regalia can be purchased at the Radford University main campus bookstore through the day of graduation. Radford University at Carilion students may place an order for regalia at the RUC bookstore. The order will be fulfilled through the main campus bookstore and shipped to RUC for pick-up in store. Please allow up to 5 business days for delivery.
The Grad Fair on Radford University's main campus is March 18 and 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the bookstore. Campus partners (Career Services, Alumni Relations, University Advancement, COSM, Balfour and Oak Hall) will be available to help you get everything you need for commencement.
Livestream and Photography
Links to the livestreams of the commencement ceremonies will be available from the university homepage, on this website and university social media platforms - Facebook and Twitter for guests that want to view all of the excitement but are unable to attend. Live captioning will be available.
