Arriving on campus

Drop off for guests with mobility devices or concerns is in Lot DD at the back of Moffett Quad. Guests with a visible valid handicapped placard or plate should park in Lot EE and Lot I. If accessible parking is full, guests should proceed to Lot M for overflow accessible parking. Golf carts will be available to transport guests with limited mobility plus one assisting guest from Lot DD, Lot EE, Lot I and Lot M to the main ceremony in Moffett Quad and to the individual ceremonies after the main ceremony concludes. Golf carts will NOT transport guests to the Dedmon Center.

Guests that have graduates in the College of Education and Human Development are encouraged to park in Lots CC, E, or U across the bridge and catch the shuttle to the main ceremony and shuttle back for the individual ceremony. While there are designated accessible parking spots in each lot, guests are encouraged to arrive early as parking is first come, first served.

Saturday shuttle service

Transit buses are accessible for those with mobility devices. To avoid traffic congestion, free shuttle bus service from the hotels on Tyler Avenue (Best Western, La Quinta Inn, Comfort Inn and Super 8) to campus and from the Burlington lot to Waldron Hall circle from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Seating at the main Commencement ceremony

  • Seating is by request/reservation only.
  • Reserved seating for guests using mobility devices or with mobility concerns or who require Sign Language Interpreting Services should complete the Disability Accommodation Request Form.
  • One additional guest may sit in the reserved seating. Indicate the name of the additional one guest sitting on the Disability Accommodation Request Form.

Seating for individuals with mobility devices or concerns will be located at the back left and right when facing Moffet Quad from the rear drop off in Lot DD. Seating for individuals requiring Sign Language Interpreting Services is in the front of Moffett Quad when facing Moffett Quad from the rear drop off in Lot DD.

College ceremonies

Golf carts will be available to transport guests with limited mobility from the main ceremony to the individual college ceremonies on-campus. Stand-up signs indicating College Ceremonies will be stationed at the back of Moffet Quad when looking at Moffet lawn from Lot DD drop off. Golf carts will also have signs indicating transport routes to specific college ceremonies.

Live streaming

The main ceremony will be streamed live on the Radford University website with real time captioning. On the day of the ceremony, visit www.radford.edu to find a link to the live stream.
