ITEC 398: Software Development Technology.

Prerequisite: ITEC 220 (Grade of “C" or better) and permission of instructor

Credit Hours: (1-3)

Enables students to gain experience with programming languages, operating systems, and other tools, and technologies that are used to develop software.  This course may be taken multiple times with a different topic each time.  This course may not be used to satisfy a B.S. requirement or a technical elective.


Detailed Description of Content of Course

The purpose of this course is to give students a working knowledge of a programming language, operating system, software tool, or other technologies that the student may use to develop software.     


Detailed Description of Conduct of Course

Students will complete a number assignments on their own where they apply the concepts and principles of the topic(s) under study.  This is the primary means by which the student will become knowledgeable with the language, system, tool, or technology being studied.  Labs and/or lectures will be used to present concepts, principles, and examples.


Goals and Objectives of the Course

After successfully completing this course students will develop software using the language, system, tool, or technology that was studied.


Assessment Measures
Several programming as
signments and at least one exam will be used to assess each student.
