Meet the Instructors

Alan Forrest

Alan F.

Alan is a Professor in the Department of Counselor Education. In addition to his personal mindfulness meditation practice, Alan leads, and co-leads, mindfulness retreats for college students, medical students, human service and mental health professionals, educators, young adults and others. Alan co-teaches the undergraduate mindfulness course each semester, COED 280: Introduction to the Process and Practice of Mindfulness.

Brianna C.

Brianna has been involved in athletics, in one form or another, her entire life. She loves sharing knowledge on health and fitness. She believes that feeding off each other's energy and fun attitude will not only allow you to reach your goals, but to exceed them. Come check out her classes, you wont regret it!

Chloe H.

Chloe is very passionate about the fitness, design, and business industry! She believes in embracing every moment of your life and living with no limits! There are no limits for her, and she will show you that whatever you thought was standing in your way, you’ve already left it at the door. Her hope when you take her class is that laughing at your limitations is the easiest way to blow them by. To her, it is so much more than a bike. It can truly transform your life from the inside out with consistency and dedication to yourself. Her wish for each participant is that each time you come to her class you leave feeling alive, strong, happy, and proud of exactly who you are with the added bonus of hitting the pillow at night with pride! She is honored to be able to teach cycle at our university to such amazing and inspiring participants. Be consistent, be proud, and hustle hard because you deserve it all. She can’t wait to see you in class!

Jermaine Thomas

Jermaine T.

Jermaine teaches BODYPUMP and GAINS 101. He received his Bachelor’s in Health, Physical Education and Recreation and his Master’s in Sports Administration. He loves his family, sports and to do anything that enhances Gains (Physically, Mentally, Spiritually and Emotionally). His Motto is “If it don’t make Gains, it don’t make sense”. In case you hadn’t realized, IT’S ALWAYS ABOUT THE GAINS.


Kelly D.

Kelly is a Communication Sciences and Disorders major! She aspires to work with military veterans one day with either speech therapy or audiological needs! In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with friends, meeting new people, or reading a good book.

Kendall H.

Kendall is an elementary education major here at Radford University. She loves the idea of helping people make positive changes in their lives. Kendall is a Zumba instructor. Her passion for dancing started at a young age and developed into something she was eager to share with others. Kendall loves Zumba because she believes exercise should be fun, not a chore! She hopes to challenge her students while increasing their confidence! 


Liz G.

Liz’s favorite thing to do is get people excited about fitness and wellness. Whether you’re lifting in a weight room, taking a boot camp class, or dancing in your room with your hairbrush, it’s all about moving and having fun! Join her in BODYPUMP or Cardio Combat this semester to get a great workout and feel like a champ. Her favorite food is guacamole, her favorite animal is a penguin, and her favorite TV show is Law and Order: SVU. Liz is the Assistant Director of Wellness/Fitness and has certifications in ACE Group Fitness, ACE Personal Training, Les Mills BODYPUMP, BODYCOMBAT, and BODYJAM, Turbokick, Zumba, FMS, and AFAA.


Logan R.

Logan began teaching group fitness classes a little over two years ago. He started off with receiving his certification in RIPPED and then 7 months later his certification in POUND. Teaching fitness classes started off as a hobby and soon became a huge part of his life. Having students come to his class and leave feeling like they have just completed an obstacle course is on the greatest accomplishments as an instructor. He strives to make sure people reach the goals they intend when they walk into the room. After college, he plans on continuing teaching classes as well as becoming a personal trainer.

Zachary H.

Zach is a Computer Science major with a concentration in database. He served 3 years in the army as a power generation equipment maintainer and started at Radford in January of 2016. His hobbies include gaming, nerding out over computers, and hiking. He loves meeting new people and enjoys teaching Bodypump as much as he enjoys being in the class, and if there is anything else you need to know feel free to approach him during one of his classes and ask!
