Home About the Trip About Las Piedras Biodiversity Station Map of the Expedition 2016 Trip 2015 Trip

The Las Piedras Biodiversity Station is more than a home away from home; it’s a relaxing comfortable place to work and play hidden deep in the Amazonian jungle. With a full kitchen (with chef), restroom facilities, solar power, and comfortable beds, it’s a wonderful place to live and study. Wake up to a home-cooked jungle breakfast of pancakes, eggs and jam, washed down with steaming hot Peruvian coffee or freshly squeezed juice. Come back from a hike for a siesta in your hammock or spend time working on research projects using our state of the art scientific gear. Have a candle-lit discussion with your friends or the staff, watch a movie projected on the big screen, or just spend the night looking up at the incredible expanse of stars above you.
