Shred-A-Thon is Oct. 5

Radford University Recycling is conducting Shred-A-Thon Oct. 5 to give the university community an opportunity to safely and securely shred and recycle unwanted documents.

The event is scheduled for noon to 4 p.m. at the Heth Clock Plaza.

Shred-A-Thon is a free campus-wide event and is open to all Radford University offices and departments, as well as students, faculty and staff with a valid RU ID.

University offices and departments are responsible for following the proper disposal procedures that can be found on the Records Retention webpage.

Shred-A-Thon is part of the university’s Campus Sustainability Week Oct. 2-6.

All campus organizations and programs are encouraged to participate in the Sustainability Week kickoff event or plan and host their own sustainability-themed activities throughout the week leading up to Homecoming, Oct. 6-8.

Campus Sustainability Week is part of the National Campus Sustainability Month celebration throughout October.
