The Department of Design is hosting a Fall Fashion Show that highlights the creative talents of Radford University students.

The Fashion show, which takes place at 4 p.m. on Oct. 7 in the Bonnie Auditorium, features work spanning the last few years – and also includes a menswear collection for the first time in the show.

The inclusion of the menswear line caused John Jacob, associate professor of Design, to rethink the layout of the event.

“What we are going to do is have the guys enter from the back of the auditorium and be signaled to start there instead of from the front,” Jacob said. “Including menswear has added a new dimension to the show.”

In addition to the menswear collection, evening, special occasion, career, urban casual and other collections will be on display by volunteer models who display the students’ creations to the public.

The Fall Fashion Show will have between 30-40 individual pieces showcased at the event, some of which contain laser-cut pieces and upcycled denim.
