Greek Week not just for Greeks, organizer says

Interim Assistant Director for Greek Life, Amy Damron, encourages the entire campus community to get involved in this year's Greek Week festivities.

The weeklong series of philanthropic, athletic, and entertainment events commence April 9.

"Greek Week and Greek Life's message is for everyone to hear," Damron said. "We feel strongly about giving back to our community and engaging others in that philanthropic duty. We really want the campus community to see all the good we are doing. Campus support and attendance is important."

This year's Greek Week theme is "Galaxy/Outer Space." Events include the Sundae Funday 5K, the Canned Construction Competition, Greeks Got Talent Show, guest speaker Tim Mousseau, the Greek Olympics competition, and the Philanthropy Carnival.

Greek Life members are awarded points for participation. The winning sororities and fraternities will be recognized at the Greek Life Awards, scheduled for April 25 at 7 p.m. in Bondurant Auditorium.

April 11
Greeks Got Talent in Bondurant Auditorium; 7 to 9 p.m.

April 12
