Radford University advisors won the Technology in Advising Commission award at the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) conference held in Atlanta held recently.

The award was presented to Patricia Williamson, pre-major advising; Loretta Estes, Waldron advising; Tabithia Greear, Waldron advising; and Rachel Hall, pre-major advising.

“We are honored to have received the Technology in Advising Commission award at the National NACADA Conference,” Hall said. “It is a thrill to see Radford University recognized for its excellence and cutting-edge approaches in academic advising.”

The national conference is held annually and consists of universities around the country. At the conference, Radford’s advisors gave a presentation titled “Using Your Campus Learning Management System for Flipped Advising.”

The presentation centered around the use of Radford University’s learning management system, Desire 2 Learn, and how students can use the system to develop a sense of awareness for the academic achievements.

“It was an honor to be selected by the NACADA Technology in Advising Commission to share what we have found to be an efficient tool for advising,” Williamson said.
