Presidential Transition Committee members announced

Radford University Presidential Transition Committee co-chairs Alethea "A.J." Robinson and Mary Ann Hovis '65 announced today the appointment of members to the Committee.

With diverse representation from faculty, staff, administrators, students, alumni, parents, the regional community, the Radford University Foundation and the Board of Visitors, the Committee will:

  • plan key activities to ensure a smooth and effective transition for Dr. Brian O. Hemphill as Radford University's seventh president,
     
  • assist in welcoming Dr. Hemphill and his family to the Radford University community (faculty, staff, students, and alumni) and the local and regional community,
     
  • provide an orientation and institutional scan of the University for Dr. Hemphill
     
  • plan key events to recognize the accomplishments of Penelope W. Kyle, J.D., Radford University’s first female president, who has served as the University’s sixth president since 2005.
