Radford University appoints Career Services director

Radford University has named Angela M. Joyner as its executive director of Career Services.

Joyner, who began work at Radford University on June 27, will provide strategic leadership for developing, implementing and evaluating recruiting systems, programs and events to connect employers with Radford University students, faculty and alumni. 

Previously, Joyner served as vice president and general manager of ConAgra Foods in Naperville, Illinois. Her higher education experience includes teaching as an adjunct professor of brand management at the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine.

Joyner holds a bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University, an MBA in marketing from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a doctorate of philosophy from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

“Dr. Joyner brings an extraordinary level of knowledge and experience to the position,” said Joseph P. Scartelli, interim provost and vice president for Academic Affairs. “There is great anticipation as she prepares to lead the Office of Career Services to new levels. I am very excited about the future of Career Services under her leadership and excited for thousands of students who will benefit over the coming years.”
