First Radford Advising Conference will help faculty, staff serve students

Radford University students frequently cite positive interactions with faculty and staff as a key to their successes. That’s an excellent start, but can those interactions be improved?

The inaugural Radford Advising Conference, scheduled for Tuesday, April 26, will answer that question. The conference offers professional development opportunities for any members of the campus community who finds themselves in an advising role. With development workshops, technology seminars and insightful looks at Radford’s own advising climate, the conference promises to prepare all attendees to further support student success.

Charlie L. Nutt, executive director of the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), will attend the conference as its keynote speaker. Nutt will offer a national perspective on advising trends and practices.

The event is free to attend.  Attendees can register for individual or multiple sessions at www.radford.edu/advisingconference.  Due to limited seating participants must register for the luncheon and keynote address.
