Latino Heritage Month Dinner to celebrate past, present and future

The 2015 Latino Heritage Month Dinner will take place in Muse Banquet Hall on Oct. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The theme for this year’s event is "Honoring Our Heritage. Building Our Future." The performances and dishes themselves were chosen to reflect those ideals.

Richard Alvarez, Radford University’s chief financial officer and vice president for Finance and Administration, will offer a keynote speech about Latino heritage. He will be joined on stage by students Eileen Lagos and Lorenzo Reyes, mistress and master of ceremonies, who will offer a history of Latino Heritage Month and a vocal performance, respectively.

Dinner attendees will be encouraged to join in the entertainment as well as the program turns to dancing later in the evening.

The Latino Heritage Month Dinner is sponsored by the Latino Student Alliance and the Center for Diversity and Inclusion.
