Melanie Fox, M.A.

As the Associate Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Quality Improvement, Melanie Fox provides planning, coordination, and development for institutional assessment programs and initiatives to further the university's strategic objectives for improving teaching, learning, and administrative processes. She assists faculty, staff, and administrators with assessment, reporting, and utilizing results of assessment results for meaningful, data-driven decision-making. She also helps coordinate the assessment process for the REAL Curriculum, Radford’s general education program, and supports institutional accreditation efforts. Melanie Fox's experience spans over 20 years of higher education teaching and administration and she previously was a full-time instructor at Radford. She has also worked as a senior technical editor in the area of advanced technology research and development. She holds undergraduate degrees in English and French from Indiana University and a master’s degree in English from Iowa State University. Her goal is to engage administrators, faculty, and staff in initiating and supporting communities of practice in assessment and learning improvement.
