Welcome to the Highlanders Festival!

This event is open to the general public with free admission.

The Radford Highlanders Festival, held at Bisset Park in Radford, brings together games, music and entertainment for festival-lovers of all ages. The festival is a partnership between Radford University and the City of Radford, VA.

Whether a family’s background is of Scots-Irish origin or of other descent, the day always brings with it an air of excitement and anticipation. There is no place more beautiful than Southwest Virginia in the fall and the Blue Ridge Mountains provide a beautiful back-drop for the fall festival.

Music

Each year, the Radford Highlanders Festival brings in musical acts for your listening pleasure.

SYR (sire) is a Celtic Folk-Rock band from Columbia, South Carolina. What started as a small traditional cover band has evolved into a serious endeavor with a unique blend of genres. 

Taking inspiration from Celtic history and myth, SYR creates original songs with themes like battle, love, loss and heritage.

The 21st Radford Highlanders Festival brings together approximately 10,000 festival-lovers of all ages for heavyweight games, music, entertainment, food and Celtic fun.
