2016 Cohort
Alex Latham (alatham@email.radford.edu) completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of Kansas in psychology and his master’s degree at Emporia State University in Clinical Psychology. He has experience providing therapy to a diverse population and working with a number of diagnoses. Alex also has conducted research in various areas of psychology including sexuality, scale development, and self-care as well as presented at various conferences at both the national and regional levels.
Paul Pohto (ppohto@email.radford.edu) earned his B.S. degree in psychology from James Madison University and went on to earn his M.Ed. degree in Counselor Education from the University of Mississippi. Paul now enjoys working with college students particularly in working with harm reduction approaches to substance use as well as resilience, gratitude, and strength-based approaches to counseling. Paul enjoys spending time with his dog, being on the water fishing, and watching college football and baseball
Phil Schulte (pschulte@email.radford.edu) received his B.A. in Peace, Justice, Conflict Studies from Goshen College and his M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Mennonite University. He has completed practicum experiences at the Community Health Center of the New River Valley and TriArea Community Health Center, and will be at Radford University Counseling Center this fall. His research interests include eco-psychology, environmentalism, and social justice. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and German shepherd (Sid), gardening, and training for and running various long-distance trail and road races.
