Dr. Green joined the Radford University faculty in 2005.

Interests

Dr. Green's research explores rural crime, with a focus on wildlife crime and wildlife law enforcement; he also conducts research on illicit liquor manufacturing and distribution.

Recent Professional Activities

Dr. Green authored the 9th Edition of The Police Manager which was published in January 2024.  He is also working on a research project examining the unique policing styles of wildlife enforcement officers.  This work has included collaboration with students.  This is an extension of the minor in conservation law enforcement that he developed and is currently coordinating.  Dr. Green has carried out wildlife crime related research in and outside of the United States, including Australia, England, Scotland, and Brazil.  Much of his other research has focused on the illegal creation, distribution, and use of illicit liquor in the South.
