New Virginia Majority (NVM) is seeking student fellows for the summer and/or fall semester of 2016!

Throughout history, students and young people have been at the fore front of struggles for social change in

the United States and around the world. To make sure we are a part of that continuing history, we are

seeking passionate students with a deep commitment to working with people of all backgrounds to foster

their civic engagement and build their capacity as agents of social change.

Through this fellowship, students will be charged with working on our voter registration and get out the vote

campaigns, while at the same time encouraging students to get involved with New Virginia Majority

Education Fund so we can plug them into our efforts to build student power across the state. We believe this

dual approach will not only help us provide students with the opportunity to exercise their right to vote, but it

will mobilize them into remaining active participants as we build a student led grassroots movement for

accessible, inclusive, and democratic education in Virginia long after the November election!

Ideal candidates will be highly organized, detail-oriented, self-starters who thrive on person to person contact.

necessarily have to be living near their university. Successful candidates will execute the following duties:
