From the time I could put pencil to paper, my passion has been writing. As a staff writer with University Relations, I have the opportunity to turn that passion into a career, and I am excited to cover the College of Business and Economics and the Waldron College of Health and Human Services.

A 2001 communications graduate of Emory & Henry College and a native of Bristol, Va., I haven’t strayed too far from home. I am the quintessential bookworm and spend most of my free time with a novel in hand, reading everything from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle to Milan Kundera. I love to travel, having had the opportunity to visit Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, Oahu and Kauai, just to name a few of my adventures (thanks mom and dad)!

I’m a “Seinfeld” fanatic with an Elvis obsession and love anything silly or kitsch. I’m equally at home discussing any number of classic novels or the sheer genius behind “Family Guy” and “The Office” (the BBC version or the American version).
