In my career as a professional photojournalist, Ive covered everything from prison riots, presidential inaugurations and train derailments to professional football and PGA golf tournaments. I graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences in Journalism from the Visual Communications program from Ohio Universitys Scripps Howard School of Journalism and a Master of Arts in Photography from Syracuse Universitys S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. Ive been on staff or had freelance work published in newspapers throughout the east coast. I have been fortunate to photograph some pretty interesting and well known people, including Senator Joseph Lieberman, Graham Nash and Arnold Palmer.
Upon returning to Virginia in 1997, I joined the University Relations staff. Having grown up on and around the RU campus, I feel as if the history of this place is part of my own. As university photographer, I enjoy a broad spectrum of subjects, which I capture both on conventional films and digitally. Over the course of my career, my photographs have been selected for numerous national and international art exhibitions and I have won several awards for my work.
