Russian Journalist Aida Soboleva To Lecture at RU

Aida SobolevaRADFORD – Russian radio, television and film journalist Aida Soboleva will lecture Wednesday, Oct. 3, and Wednesday, Oct. 10, 7 p.m., in RU’s Cook Hall 107. The October 3 presentation is “The State of the Media: Soviet, Post-Soviet and Today.” The following Wednesday, she will speak on “A Russian Journalist’s Tales of Iran.”

Soboleva has been a constant player in media efforts for more than 20 years. Her work includes viewpoints on the culture and traditions of Soviet and post-Soviet society as well as international efforts primarily in Iran. She is general director of Inter-Classic Ltd, a cinema and video production company and a member of the International Federation of Journalists. Soboleva has written and directed more than 300 television and radio programs.
