RADFORD –  The latest installment of “Time Out for Learning” is available for free download at http://www.radford.edu/NewsPub/tol/index.html. “Time Out for Learning” is an award-winning audio series featuring tips for parents on supporting their children’s learning. These tips were developed in collaboration with faculty in Radford University’s College of Education and Human Development and produced by professional staff at WVRU 89.9 FM and the RU Office of University Relations.

These 30-second public service announcements are provided as part of the university’s mission to support community education. Individual PSAs are available as MP3 files at the link above. Archived PSAs also are available there.

The current installment of “Time Out for Learning” offers parents insight into helping their adolescent children learn responsibility.

The “Time Out for Learning” project has twice won an Award of Excellence from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, District III. The national publication Admissions Marketing Report recognized the project with a Silver Advertising Award.
