Artwork by Waldron Staff Member Roy Baugher on Display in Roanoke
RADFORD -- Two works by Roy Baugher, an administrator for Radford University’s Clinical Simulation Center, were accepted in the 30th annual Roanoke City Art Show. “Do You Want, or Do You Have?” and “A Single Woman Lived in the Background” are graphite pencil and gouache works on paper. "Do You Want, or Do You Have?" won the second place award and a Purchase Award. Purchase Awards are sponsored by the City of Roanoke. The city bought the piece as part of its art collection. The second place award is sponsored by the Arts Council of the Blue Ridge. Baugher graduated from Roanoke College with a bachelor’s degree in art. The exhibition continues through November 8 in the second floor galleries at Center in The Square in Roanoke. Hours are Thursday - Saturday, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., and Sunday, 1 - 5 p.m. Below on left: “A single woman lived in the background.” On right: “Do you want, or do you have?”
