Eleemosynary is Part of RU Studio Theatre Series
RADFORD Eleemosynary, one of American playwright Lee Blessing’s most popular productions, will be presented by the Radford University Studio Theatre Series on October 31 - November 3 in Porterfield Hall. Showtimes are Wednesday, 8 p.m., and Thursday through Saturday, 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Eleemosynary is the story of a family who is bound together when Grandmother Dorothea suffers a stroke. Echo, the granddaughter, and her estranged mother Artie, unite to help Dorothea during her time of need. The underlying message is that there is love, need and hope between parents and their children that many times goes unspoken. Blessing is director of the graduate playwrighting program at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. He is best known for the play A Walk in the Woods.
