RU Alumnus Joe Tennis Publishes Book of Ghost Tales
RADFORD Radford University alumnus Joe Tennis has released his second book The Marble and Other Ghost Tales of Tennessee and Virginia, published by Backyard Books.
Tennis is a feature writer for the Bristol Herald Courier and is the author of Southwest Virginia Crossroads, an illustrated history and guide to 17 counties and four cities, including Radford. Tennis studied journalism and political science at RU and wrote the controversial column “Tennis The Menace,” a weekly feature in RU’s school newspaper The Tartan. He began his professional career as a writer for the Virginia Beach bureau of the Virginian Pilot. His work has appeared in several major newspapers and publications in the tri-state area.
