RADFORD -- The seventh annual Radford University International Guitar Festival, under the direction of RU music professor and festival founder Robert Trent, is April 3 - 6 in the Norwood Room of the Bondurant Center for the Arts, 1129 East Main St. Featured artists are Jorge Caballero of Peru, Carlo Barone of Italy, and William Yelverton and The Mayes Duo.

The festival includes workshops that allow opportunities for students to work with international award-winning performers. All concerts and workshops are free and open to the public. Guitarists who wish to perform for one or more of the artists must submit a tape and fee.

The schedule is as follows:

• Thursday, April 3 -- Carlo Barone in concert, performing on authentic guitars of the early 19th century;
• Friday, April 4 -- Naumberg International Competition winner Jorge Caballero in concert;
• Saturday, April 5 -- Middle Tennessee State University guitar faculty William Yelverton in concert, performing on lute and guitar;
• Sunday, April 6 -- The Mayes Duo in concert, performing on lute and guitar.
