RU Students Take Home Six ADDYs
RADFORD Six Radford University graphic design students won ADDYs in the annual awards ceremony sponsored by the Advertising Federation of the Roanoke Valley (Ad Fed) held Saturday in Roanoke. Ad Fed is a professional organization dedicated to advertising. Members include those affiliated with graphic design, marketing, television, radio, photography, printing and web design. Winners are as follows (see photo below):
Art faculty directing the ADDY project were assistant professors John O’Connor and Kevin Smith. Winners were students of O’Connor, Smith, Ed LeShock and Jeff Kennard. O’Connor said RU students competed against colleges with a strong history of winning in ADDY competitions. “I am extremely proud of our students. This says something about the standards of our current program. This is a big win for us.” To learn more about the work that RU’s graphic design students are engaged in, contact O’Connor at joconnor@radford.edu
