Article by RU Professors Featured in Inaugural Apple Education Journal

RADFORD – "Developing the Listening Mind," an article co-authored by Radford University music professor David Zuschin and John Hildreth, assistant director of the Technology in Learning Center, was featured in the inaugural issue of Intersections, an electronic peer-reviewed academic journal sponsored by Apple Education.

David ZuschinZuschin (pictured at right) was invited to be an inaugural author because of his pilot program at RU that explores the use of iPods in the classroom and his work in developing RU’s Opus X, a digital library of music that will soon be available to the RU community.

Intersections, released in late fall of 2007, featured articles by other top-tier schools including UCLA, Princeton, Carnegie Mellon and more.  The journal deals with “intersections” between disciplines, technology and education.” Zuschin also presented the article at the 2007 Higher Education Leadership Summit at Stanford University.
