RADFORD – The State Symphony Orchestra of Mexico will be in concert Friday, Feb. 8, at 8 p.m., in Radford University’s Bondurant Auditorium, Preston Hall. The concert is part of the University Performance Series.

Under the direction of maestro Enrique Batiz, the orchestra was founded in 1971 and is the first major symphony orchestra to perform at RU in almost 30 years. The program will include works by Brahms, Schumann, Revueltas and Rodrigo’s landmark work Concerto de Aranjuez featuring guitarist Alfonso Moreno.

Admission is $16 general public, $8 children and free with RU I.D. Tickets go on sale at Hurlburt Hall two weeks prior to the performance and can be purchased by calling (540) 831-5420.
