Hiltonsmith Elected President of Psychological Association
RADFORD -- The Virginia Psychological Association recently elected Radford University professor Bob Hiltonsmith as its president. The presidency gives Hiltonsmith authority over the association’s committee’s and executive board meetings.
The three-year term began Jan.1 and is the first for the psychology professor who has been teaching at RU since 1990. The Virginia Psychological Association (VPA) is a professional membership organization dedicated to the advancement of psychology as a science and profession as a means of promoting human welfare. VPA is affiliated with the American Psychological Association. Hiltonsmith has been a member of VPA for six years. He initially became a member to promote RU in VPA’s schools division, he said. |
