RADFORD -- As a result of the ongoing relationship between the College of Science and Technology and the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center in Abingdon, the center offered the college approximately $96,000 over two years to support an RU information technology program to be offered via distance education at the center.

The grant will be used to fund scholarships to support students entering the program and RU faculty travel expenses related to the commute from Radford to Abingdon.
