Twenty-four RU Students to Present at National Undergraduate Research Conference

RADFORD – Twenty-four of 27 RU student submissions have been accepted for presentation at the 2008 Annual Meeting of the National Conferences on Undergraduate Research. Of the 307 colleges and universities presenting at this year’s conference, only 24 schools had more presentations accepted than RU.

Students and their faculty research sponsors will travel to Salisbury University for the April conference. Presentations will represent the disciplines of anthropology, criminal justice, biology, chemistry, media studies, communications, communication sciences and disorders, interior design, psychology, information technology and English. Presentation topics range from ubiquitous computing to Appalachian folk ballads.

Students who will present at the conference are listed below with their faculty sponsors’ names in parentheses:
