Chinese Delegation Visits RU

RADFORD -- A delegation from China's Zhejiang Education Institute spent a day at Radford University visiting with faculty and students. The four delegates came to discuss the relationship ZEI has with RU as a "sister university" and look at possible areas of future cooperation.

In May 2000, RU's first Zylphia Shu-En Kirk Scholars trip to China included a three-day visit to ZEI. The two institutions agreed to work together and signed a memorandum of cooperation in 2002. Since then several proposals have been made to develop faculty exchanges, education, programs and technology training.

President Penelope W. Kyle held a welcome lunch for the ZEI delegates. The group also met with faculty, visited with students and toured the campus before departing for New York.
