RADFORD – A guest recital by Radford University alumnus Charlie Steele ‘99 will be Tuesday, Aug. 28, 8 p.m., in RU’s Bondurant Auditorium, Preston Hall.

Steele will present an organ lecture-recital featuring late 20th century works based on shape note hymn tunes found in William Walker’s Southern Harmony of 1854. Five well-known hymns are included – New Britain (Amazing Grace), Wondrous Love, Holy Manna, Foundation and Dove of Peace. Shape note singers perform original tunes from Southern Harmony.

Admission is free and open to the public.
