RU and VT Team Up for Dual Degree Program
in Mathematics and Engineering RADFORD -- Radford University's department of mathematics and statistics and the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech have agreed to partner in a dual degree program leading to bachelor's degrees in mathematics and engineering. Students will begin at RU, where they will earn a degree in mathematics, and then transfer to VT to earn a degree in engineering. Students will be able to sample basic VT engineering courses while enrolled at RU before committing to the full study of engineering. Students will need approximately six years to complete the two degrees. This program is modeled after the existing dual degree programs between RU's department of chemistry and physics and Tech's College of Engineering. To learn more, contact math assistant professor Laura Spielman or math professor Juergen Gerlach. |
