RADFORD -- Three concerts featuring Radford University music students and faculty will be performed the week of April 2l. The concerts are at 8 p.m. and admission is free and open to the public.

The University Choral Ensembles Oratorio Concert: Bach Cantata Festival is April 22, in Bondurant Auditorium, Preston Hall. The RU Choral Union, conducted by David Otis Castonguay, performs a program of cantatas from Bach’s early, middle and late creative periods. Featured selections include BWV 172 – Erschallet, ihr Lieder, erklinget, ihr Saiten!; Gott lst Mein K o nig, BWV 71; and BWV 182 Himmelskonig, sei villkommen.

Ensembles and soloists present music from a vast selection of chamber woodwind and brass compositions at the Chamber Winds Concert on April 23, in the Norwood Room of the Bondurant Center for the Arts, 1129 East Main St.

The Chamber Orchestra performs on April 24, at 8 p.m., in Bondurant Auditorium. A program of varied works from classical, romantic and contemporary repertoire will be performed. The concert, conducted by music department chair Eugene Fellin, features student soloists.
