Lexington, Va. - The Highlanders completed day one of the annual Keydet Invitational Friday night at the "Pit" in Cormack Field House. The Highs posted five top-ten finishes on the evening.

In the women's weight throw senior thrower Tricia Benson finished third with a throw of 46-06, while freshmen throwers Brittany Harris and Rachel Trupani finished fourth (43-31) and fifth (41-99) respectively.

On the men's side, sophomore Caleb Anderson had a mark of 42-85 to place sixth and freshmen Chris Blaine finished 10th with a distance of 35-17.

The Keydet Invitational will resume on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m.
