Highs Post Four Victories at Irwin Belk Invitational

Davidson, N.C. - Radford track and field posted four victories and broke two school records at the sixth annual Irwin Belk Invitational Saturday at Davidson College.

Amy Marshall (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) took first in the javelin throw. Her distance of 122-02 set a new school record for the Highlanders. In the shot put Tiffany Evans (Dumfries, Va.) threw a distance of 48-10.25, which was good for first place. Marshall placed fourth (42-01.25) in the shot put event.

Once again Brian Richotte (Berkley, Mich.) broke the school record in the hammer throw. He threw a distance of 207-03 this weekend which broke his previous record of 202-09. His throw placed him first in the event. Teammate Jeremiah Spence (Riner, Va.) took second in the event with a distance of 201-08.

Dan Oseth (Sterling, Va.) took first in the high jump with a recorded height of 6-06.

The women’s 4x100 team placed second clocking a time of 48.26.

The Highlanders will participate at the Penn Relays April 27-30 in Philadelphia, Penn.
