Lynchburg, Va. - Senior Meghan McLaughlin captured the 10,000 meters on the first day of the Big South Outdoor Track and Field Championships. She posted a time of 37:32.56, 30 seconds ahead of Coastal's Lindsey Kozlowski.

For the men, Tim Dutton placed fifth in the 10,000 with a time of 33:22.42. Dave Schwartz finished 11th and Andrew Woodyard 12th.
