Highlanders Upended at Virginia Tech, 6-1 Blacksburg, Va. -- Radford's women's tennis team fell to Virginia Tech, from Burrows/Burleson Tennis Center this evening. The women fall to 2-10 on the year, while the Hokies improve to 6-10. The Highlanders opened the match earning the doubles point as the No. 2 team of Caroline Downs (Radford, Va.) and Camila Nolden (Florianopolis, Brazil) and the No. 3 team of Jessica Nixon (Leesburg, Va.) and Cassandra Price (Deland, Fla.) claimed victories. But the Hokie rebounded to sweep the six singles matches in straight sets. Radford return home on Saturday, March 26 to host Norfolk State at 1 pm. Results: Virginia Tech 6, Radford 1 Singles 1.
